Self-Defense :Who should I watch for?

Most of us have read or heard of random acts of violence in the world around us. It’s hard to pick up a paper without getting more evidence that violence is increasingly the way our society deals with disputes. However, instead of what is frequently portrayed in the movies, most victims know their attackers. According to a Bureau of Justice survey of the 1990’s, victims knew their attackers between 50% & 70% of the time. While studies disagree on the exact figure, somewhere between ¼ & ¾ of victims do not report the attacker if they knew them previously. Unfortunately you may already know your attacker! Just because you know someone does mean you don’t have to be aware of their behaviors.

Don’t live your life in fear, but live it aware of what is going on around you. If nothing else you will see more sunrises and smell more flowers.
